Victory in the Superstock class at Le Mans 24h

The Champion HERT powered by MRP #38 team didn’t just secure a dominant victory in the Superstock class; they also claimed an outstanding sixth place overall at the 2026 Le Mans 24h.

Through seamless teamwork, no technical issues, and error-free riding, the team extended their incredible winning streak – marking three consecutive victories across the last three FIM World Endurance races they have entered. While the team qualified 4th at Le Mans, they proved once again that endurance racing is won over 24 long and grueling hours.

Up Next: The 8 Hours of Spa

The next race is the 8 Hours of Spa (Belgium), taking place from June 5th to 6th. As a team based in Genk (Belgium), this is a highly anticipated home race. After clinching the Superstock win at Spa in 2025, the team is focused on a repeat performance to keep their momentum alive on this legendary track.

Rider and team manager reactions:

Erico Casa (Champion HERT powered by MRP – team manager):
Even though we all did our best in preparing the bike, choosing the riders, and the technical team, and our only goal is to win, it’s never a sure thing. It always remains a bit of a dream.

And for the third time in a row, the dream has come true. Hard work pays off; the riders followed all the instructions, and their talent did the rest. The technical team and all the team members did an incredible job all week without a single mistake. I would like to thank Champion Lubricants, HERT, BMW Motorrad Motorsport, MRP Racing, and all our sponsors who trust us. We are all even more motivated than ever to achieve a great result at home in Spa.

Werner Daemen (Champion HERT powered by MRP – team owner):

Three races and three victories as a team owner – what more could you ask for? The guys did a tremendous job. Team Manager Erico in the first place and Ben who organises everything. Ben organises everything so that we can go racing and it is a job nobody sees, and a huge task. In the race, the riders, the mechanics, and the full crew did what they had to do. What I tell them before the race is: no risk, don’t crash, and that’s what they did. As the owner of MRP Racing I’m incredibly proud that the guys achieved this. The disappointment from not having the result we wanted with the factory team #37 is a partly gone now with the victory for #38. I am hoping for the same result in Spa, so we can go for the championship later this year! I think we all deserve this.

Bálint Kovács (Champion HERT powered by MRP – rider):
The week started a bit harder than expected with finding the right settings, but I think on Thursday we made it work and the riders and our crew chief did a good job to make it happen. Qualifying wasn’t the best for us, but in the end it didn’t really matter, as the most important thing is the race. We made a dream race, and I’m so thankful to my teammates and to the team, the guys who made the pit stops, the guys who were in the box, the guys who were on the pit wall, and, everyone in the team because it was a real teamwork and without any mistakes from the riders, or from the team side, or from the bike side. We had a really clean race with some close battles with the others teams until around 16 or 20 hours, but from there onwards we didn’t make any mistakes and that made the difference and we won by eleven laps at the end, which is a huge gap. It still feels like a dream and not real that the team won the last three races and I won the last two of the Stock category together with Loris. So, yeah, I’m really happy and really looking forward to race again in Spa.

Loris Cresson (Champion HERT powered by MRP – rider):
The whole week and race was amazing, I couldn’t expect better. I’m so proud of the team and my team mates, we are more than ready for Spa 8h race. Everyone did an amazing job, we were clearly the best team out there 💪🏻.

Jan Bühn (Champion HERT powered by MRP – rider):
First race – first win! Perfect start to the new season. The whole team did an amazing job: fast pit stops, no mistakes, and a consistent pace. Looking forward to continuing like this in Spa.

Máté Számádó (Champion HERT powered by MRP – rider):
The whole week was amazing. The team did a great job, and I think we riders also got along really well and were able to work together perfectly. Although it wasn’t that easy to find the best setup, I think we managed to do it in time for the race. And that was the whole point.
The race itself was a completely different story – the best race of my life! Every rider and the entire team completed the race flawlessly. Here, we were the ones who couldn’t be beaten. I hope and trust that we’ll be able to achieve similar results in the upcoming races.
